Anyone who had ever said that being the youngest member of a large family was tough...obviously had never been given the chance to spend some time with Eden McGregor. Coming in as the youngest of 5, there was never a moment that Eden seemed to fade into the background. Not since her noisy arrival on August 8, 1992. Come to think of it, none of the McGregor children ever seemed to fade into any backgrounds. Each had a personality all their own, and little Eden was no exception.
Eden's childhood, like most other children's, was relatively normal. Well, as relatively normal as a small child growing up only a stone's throw away from the beach could be. Enrolled in school at the appropriate age, Eden's education earlier than that. Because she had four older siblings, three of which were female, she began learning the facts of life early. Mornings and afternoons were spent learning the finer points of reading, writing and all things scholastic while evenings were spent learning the art of being a woman and torturing her brother. Being the youngest, Eden was often used as her sister's personal doll. If they weren't dressing up Alex and putting makeup on him, they were doing it to Eden. The only difference was, Eden hated it a little less than Alex did. Once she got old enough to run and hide whenever they wanted to play "beauty shop", Eden opted to spend time on different sports teams. She quickly became the tomboy of the family, and the one who monopolized her father's time due to her constant need to better with her sports skills. She was very much a daddy's girl and took pride in it. She also used it to her advantage whenever she got into a quarrel with any one of her siblings.
When the time came for high school, there was no question as to where Eden would attend. Just like all her siblings had before her, she would attend Tegesta High School. While it wasn't the only option in the area, it was the only option if you were a McGregor. Well known for their participation in various clubs and sports (but only the female sports since Alex lacked the athlete gene), Eden was to continue the tradition. At first, she protested. She danced to the beat of her own drummer with everything else, why would she have to conform on something as important as her schooling? The argument didn't stand, mainly because her parents ignored it. She would proudly wear the teal and silver and like it. She went into her first day Freshmen year with an attitude of dislike, but it quickly dissolved. With so many opportunities offered to her, it was hard to keep up her sour attitude for too long. After signing up for different sports and getting involved with various clubs, she soon forgot that she never even wanted to be at Tegesta in the first place.
Now a junior at Tegesta, Eden is still as involved as she was when she first started there. A team player on and off the field, she's one of those students who looks forward to coming to school everyday. Granted, being labeled "Alex's little sister" has officially gotten old, deep down inside, she doesn't mind it as much as one would think. However, as much as she (secretly) loves her brother, she's looking forward to the day when he gets his diploma and leaves. She'll finally be the only McGregor at Tegesta and soon it'll be evident to everyone that she is, in fact, the coolest McGregor.
